Explore Old World Wisconsin!
Take a step back in time when you visit Old World Wisconsin, the museum of late 19th century rural life. Established in 1976, the museum is a Historic Site owned and operated by the Wisconsin Historical Society. You'll discover the character of America and see more than 60 historic buildings, furnished just as they would have been by our immigrant ancestors. You will also enjoy:

Abundant heirloom gardens & historic-breed farm animals grazing in pasturelands.
Nature trails through the beautiful Kettle Moraine landscape.
Daily interactive demonstrations & activities for visitors of all ages.

Old World Wisconsin is open from May 1st through October 31st, plus holiday weekends in December. For additional information and for museum admission rates, see Hours and Location.

Be sure to visit Old World Wisconsin again and again. Experience exciting events like Laura Ingalls Wilder Day, Midsummer Magic, Autumn on the Farms and much more. See our Special Events pages for additional information.
